Dr. Elizabeth Tippett Pope Lectureship in Patient Care: Bridging Generations in Health Care

The Dr. Elizabeth Tippett Pope Lectureship in Patient Care is a newly established endowment lectureship at the University of Manitoba that recognizes the contribution of long-time educator and practitioner, Dr. Elizabeth Tippett Pope, best known for her ability to communicate effectively with patients and to make them feel comfortable in the dental chair.

In this short introductory video, Dr. Nancy Auyeung, Director of Continuing Professional Development for Dentistry and Dental Hygiene at the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry, University of Manitoba, explains how this event will provide some simple strategies for health care practitioners on how to communicate more effectively with patients of all ages and all walks of life.

The inaugural lecture will be given by Jason Dorsey, President of the Center for Generational Kinetics, Austin, Texas, who will deliver fresh insights into generational characteristics and provide simple, actionable strategies on connecting effectively with both younger and older patients.

The event will take place ONLINE on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 10:00-11:30 a.m. CST. Registration is FREE of charge.
