Research has demonstrated that kids learn more effectively before they start traditional schooling because kids play games. And when they play games together, they learn together.
Dr. Melissa Ing, Tufts University, Dr. Wafa El-Badrawy, University of Toronto, and Dr. James Kaim, New York University, examine this concept in the context of dentistry in their presentation Creative Collaboration for Calibration and Compliance in Cariology Concepts.
Originally scheduled for the now cancelled American Dental Association Education Conference, Dr. Ing, Dr. El-Badrawy, and Dr. Kaim bring their study to CDA Oasis, where they unpack the very notion of game-based learning and walk live participants through a game designed to teach the concepts and terminology of Cariology.
