On an experimental basis, we have asked a limited number of companies to provide us with practical “How To” answers to clinical questions. We were prompted to conduct this experiment when dental team members told us that they visit company websites and consult company representatives for practical clinical information. We look forward to receiving your feedback on this experiment.
What is the Problem?
It is very frustrating for dentists and dental teams when patients don’t prioritize their oral health with proper home care and regular hygiene visits. In addition, the mindset of “it’s just a cleaning” wreaks havoc on consistent predictable scheduling and appointments. Why won’t patients just do what their dental professional tells them to do?
What is the Solution to the Problem?
Through extensive patient research Crest + Oral-B has uncovered a gap between how patients make decisions and many of today’s office activities. When patients are unsure what to do, insurance generally dictates their treatment and home care compliance remains unchanged. Implementing systems to standardize, while personalizing patient communication can bridge the gap and help improve case acceptance and retention while reducing cancellations and no-shows. In addition it can help improve RDH efficiency and consistency among multiple hygiene providers.
The Crest + Oral-B Patient Communication and Compliance Systems are designed to help the dental team communicate conditions such as gingivitis/early periodontal disease (Oral Health), child prevention (Pedo Health) and oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment (Ortho Health). On our website you can run an evaluation on your own practice with our free and private assessments or learn more about the complimentary tools and how to use them. Video testimonial is also available to outline the patient and practice benefit offices like yours are experiencing on the programs.
