What You Can and Should Do Before Referring a Pediatric Patient

Pediatric patients can present their own set of challenges in the dental office, and there are times when the appropriate course of action is to refer a patient to a pediatric specialist.

In this CDA Oasis discussion, Dr. Nik Sharma, a pediatric specialist from Toronto, discusses some of the common reasons why a patient should be referred to a pediatric specialist and walks through key factors involved in the referral process, including behavioral assessment, parental guidance, and what information to include in the referral.
