Oral Health in the Age of Cannabis

Following its legalization in 2018, cannabis use in Canada has increased by 3.8%, leading to greater scrutiny of its potential impact on public health.

In this CDA Oasis discussion, Dr. Aviv Ouanounou, dental pharmacologist and Associate Professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, discusses the key findings of his recent study, Oral Health in the Age of Cannabis: Pharmacology, Implications and Dental Management, published in the Journal of the Canadian Dental Association.

Dr. Ouanounou would like to thank and acknowledge his co-authors, Dr. Matthew-Mina Reyad and Dr. Karim Wanes, for their contributions to this project.
