What Can Canada Learn from National Health Service Dentistry in the UK?

With the phased roll out of the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) expected to begin in the coming months, CDA Oasis talks to Martin Woodrow, CEO of the British Dental Association (BDA), about the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) dentistry program, which has been in operation since 1948.

The NHS is just one of many different government approaches to providing dental care from across the globe, but this in-depth discussion examines some of the challenges faced by dentists working within the NHS today and offers advice on how Canada can learn from the UK’s experience and give CDCP the best possible chance of success.
