Dentistry and Safari at the Maasai Dental Clinic in Kenya

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to volunteer as a dentist in one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves with over 95 species of mammals and 570 recorded species of birds?

In this Oasis discussion, Dr. Jim Chung, a general dentist and professional writer and photographer from Toronto, shares his recent experience volunteering at the Maasai Dental Clinic, located in the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.

“Every time I go overseas, I want to have a real cultural experience. I don’t want to just fly in, spend the week at a game lodge, and fly back out again.”
