Southwestern Public Health (SWPH) has launched a mobile dental clinic to deliver dental care to low-income seniors who are 65 years and older and enrolled in the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program.
In this video, Kim Casier, an oral health public manager at SWPH, discusses the backstory and how the initiative came to be. She also highlights the positive impact the clinic is having on the community.
“With the new federal program, I think we’re all going to be looking at options as to how we can improve oral health care. I know we can reach more people in the community with this service, but there are still some challenges there.”
