Dalhousie University Launches Clinical Trial in Oral Cancer Prevention

Researchers from Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Dentistry have launched a clinical trial to establish whether Metformin, a drug frequently used to treat type 2 diabetes, could be effective in the prevention of oral cancer.

In this video discussion, Dr. Leigha Rock, Assistant Professor at Dalhousie’s Faculty of Dentistry, gives some background behind the trial and highlights the positive impact it could have on patients with premalignant lesions.
