The CDA Awards Recognition Program recognizes individuals across the country who have demonstrated unwavering passion and support for the dental profession in Canada and exhibited consistent commitment to the oral health of Canadians.
This week we bring you the Special Friend of Canadian Dentistry Award, given to an individual or organization from outside the dental profession in appreciation of their support or service to Canadian dentistry.

Dr. Leslie Winston
Dr. Leslie Winston is the Vice-President of Global Care Measurement Sciences and Oral Care Professional Scientific Relations at Procter and Gamble.
CDA values the relationship it has with the oral health care industry. Procter and Gamble has been a good friend of CDA for many years, actively participating in its Seal Program. Dr. Winston has held various roles at P&G for over 27 years. She has always been available to answer questions about P&G products, no matter how difficult, has provided sponsorship support for the Canadian delegation to ISO TC 106 when there was little or no profile for P&G, and has championed the value and aims of the Seal program internally at P&G when there have been competing demands and priorities. Dr. Winston has proven to be a valuable friend of CDA and Canadian Dentistry and we are pleased to recognize her as the recipient of CDA’s Special Friend of Canadian Dentistry Award.
