National Dental Examining Board of Canada Seeking a Director of Examinations
NDEB is currently seeking a respected dentist and team leader as its new Director of Examinations.
Reporting to the Executive Director & Registrar and as a member of the Management Team, the Director of Examinations will direct and oversee the registration and credential verifications of all examinees, as well as the development, administration, evaluation and appeals processes for all examinations and assessments. The Director will ensure NDEB remains current and up to date on trends and developments in credential verification; validity, reliability and fairness of tests; and technological advancements in delivering tests and examinations. Alongside the Executive Director, he/she will represent NDEB at federal, provincial and international committees and working groups to discuss issues and methods on new government policy, national standards, competencies, and improvements to the dental accreditation process and programs in Canada.
As the ideal candidate, you have a dental licence issued in Canada or are eligible for dental licensure in a province in Canada. You are knowledgeable and/or involved in dental evaluation and are familiar with high stakes evaluation processes. A collaborative service-oriented team leader, you are committed to diversity and inclusivity. Driven, with a bias to action, you seek out innovative and creative solutions to change, all the while ensuring high quality patient care to the Canadian public. Your exceptional communications skills, gained from working with diverse stakeholders, committees, and volunteers will be highly valuable. Fluency in both official languages would be an asset.
