As the CDA – CDSS joint Annual Convention draws nearer, presenters are putting the finishing touches on their presentations and sessions. 

Today we’re speaking with Dr. Trudy Nwachukwu, about her upcoming talk: Avoiding the Things That Will Make You Blue: Innovations in Periodontics for the Dental Team.

About Dr. Trudy Nwachukwu
Dr. Trudy Nwachukwu is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She graduated from the University of Manitoba and is a certified specialist in Periodontics. She is also a member of both the Canadian and American academies of Periodontology.

Dr. Nwachukwu maintains a private practice in Midtown Towers, Saskatoon. She is a published author in the fields of peri-implant disease, as well as gingival recession management. She has given multiple lectures and provided multiple continuing professional education events in Saskatchewan. Dr. Nwachukwu strongly believes in open communication and close collaboration with her referring dental colleagues, and provides patient care in a friendly and professional environment.

During this conversation, Dr. Nwachukwu discusses her presentation’s key messages and highlights, including:

• Review of recession deficiency cases and peri-implant disease.
• Getting a more successful result in challenging and difficult cases.
• Newer techniques (nonsurgical and surgical) and finding ways to better manage patients and achieve successful results.
