Health Unit wants to reintroduce fluoride into the drinking water. Iheartradio.ca: The Windsor Essex County Health Unit in Windsor and several other municipalities in Essex County. The Oral Health Report for 2018 indicates oral health has been on a steady decline in the region and, while there’s more than one factor, there is a correlation with the removal of fluoride from drinking water. Study reports nearly 1 in 3 California kids have a sugary drink daily. medicalxpress.com: Nearly one-third of California children between the ages of 2 and 11 drink one or more sugary drinks per day, according to a UCLA study published today. The study at Queen’s Medical Centre Nottingham’s A&E unit, published in the British Dental Journal, identified self-medication for dental pain with paracetamol as a significant cause of accidental overdose and potential liver failure. Alcoholic drinks affect oral bacteria tied to diseases. news-medical.net: When compared with non-drinkers, men and women who had one or more alcoholic drinks per day had an overabundance of oral bacteria linked to gum disease, some cancers, and heart disease. By contrast, drinkers had fewer bacteria known to check the growth of other, harmful germs. These are the main findings of a study published in the journal Microbiome online April 23 and led by NYU School of Medicine researchers. Read more
