CE Showcase ASM2017: Navigating Retirement: Enhancing Your Life After Dentistry

Based on the overwhelming success of the session CDSPI presented at the Pacific Dental Conference, I asked Ron Haik, VP Investment Advisory Services at CDSPI, to come back again to speak to us about their session at the ODA #ASM150: Navigating Retirement: Enhancing Your Life After Dentistry. Their session will feature a comprehensive financial and quality of life approach to retirement planning, based on lessons learned from CDSPI’s recent survey of retired Canadian dentists. Highlights
Whether you are years away or on the cusp of transitioning into your life after dentistry, planning for retirement is often most closely associated with ensuring your financial security. While certainly important, in reality, true retirement happiness is not based on money alone. It is also rooted in the quality of life and your ability to replace the psychological satisfactions you enjoyed while active as a professional. This session will bring together a comprehensive approach to retirement lifestyle planning, retirement income planning and insurance plans for retirees – as presented through the eyes of three retirement planning professionals.
Learning Objectives
- What to expect in retirement based on a recent survey of retired Canadian dentists
- How to develop a plan in order to live a fulfilling and enriching retirement lifestyle

- What insurance plans are most relevant to retiring dentists
Dr. Alan Roadburg, Ron Haik and Susan Roberts’ will run two sessions on May 4th beginning at 10:00 am – 12:30 pm, and will be repeated at 2:30 – 5:00 pm.
