My interview with Drs. David Psutka and Peter Ta, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, revolved around their session at the upcoming ASM 2017. Their session is part of a 3-day symposium titled: Orofacial pain and management symposium.

Dr. David Psutka DDS, FRCD(C)

Dr. David Psutka has practised as a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Mississauga, Ont., for 31 years. He has presented over 100 lectures, clinics and publications and has demonstrated surgery across North America and Internationally. He is co-founder of the Mount Sinai Hospital Center for Excellence in TMJ Reconstructive Surgery and teaches in the University of Toronto postgraduate residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. 

Dr. Peter Ta

Dr. Peter Ta is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who practices full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery. He received his undergraduate degree in genetics at the University of Western Ontario, and also received his DDS at the University of Western Ontario Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. Subsequently, he completed a one-year general practice residency at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, followed by specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Toronto (2014). During specialty training, he completed a master’s of science in the field of bone biology, with particular focus on bone grafting and regeneration.
