Dr. John O’Keefe speaks with Drs. Margherita Fontana and Alyssa Hayes the co-chairs of the newly formed chapter of the US-Canada Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future (ACFF). The Alliance works towards a common goal of ensuring that all children born in 2026 and beyond will be cavity-free. The ACFF, through its network, aims to collaborate and communicate with other like-minded organizations to achieve this goal through a uniform approach.
The US chapter is planning to work with groups such as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry to focus on perinatal and infant oral health. In Canada, the ACFF works with the Canadian Association of Public Health Dentists (CAPHD), the Canadian Oral Health Round Table through the CDA and the Canadian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (CAPD).
