What are the differences between 3D and Milled Models? with Christien Kopas

Christien Kopas, from Carestream, came back to speak with Dr. Suham Alexander about the difference the 3D and milled models.

Highlights

Today’s digital technology allows dentists to take digital impressions and electronically transfer them to a dental laboratory where the final restoration(s) are fabricated. Often, the restorations are fabricated using 3-D printed models or milled models. Christien Kopas explains the difference between these two models and the impact they can have on the final restoration and the fit in the patient’s mouth.
