Case Conference: Managing a case of gingival recession. Case Resolution


Dr. Trudy Nwachukwu, third-year Periodontics Resident at the University of Manitoba, presents the resolution of the case on gingival recession using two grafting techniques.

At the end of the video, Dr. Anastasia Cholakis discusses the dentists’ feedback that we received for this case.

TN PIc editedDr. Trudy Nwachukwu is a 2004 graduate of the University of Benin, Nigeria. She practiced general dentistry in Dublin, Ireland before completing a Masters degree in Dental Public Health at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. She is currently a third year Periodontics Resident at the University of Manitoba.



Nassia's photograph 2012 colourDr. Anastasia Kelekis-Cholakis is the Division Head of Periodontics and the Director of the Graduate Periodontal Program at the University of Manitoba, College of Dentistry. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a member of the Canadian and American Academy of Periodontists, Canadian Dental Association and Winnipeg Chapter of the Seattle Study Club. She lectures nationally and internationally and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals. Her areas of interest are: periodontal microsurgery and biologic implant complications.
