The Importance of a Good Sleeping Position

Dr. Uche Odiatu
General Dentist from Toronto
Certified Fitness Instructor

Sleeping occupies about a third of our lives and is a foundational component of our wellbeing. People who do not sleep well have higher levels of blood sugar, higher levels of body fat, poor memory, are more prone to emotional outbursts, do not age as well, and are less hormonally balanced. So why is it that so many of us take a good night’s sleep for granted?

In this edition of CDA Oasis Live, Dr. John O’Keefe talks to Dr. Uche Odiatu, General Dentist from Toronto and certified fitness instructor, about the importance of a good night’s sleep. Dr. Odiatu compares the benefits and drawbacks of the  three fundamental sleeping positions. He recommends sleeping aids for those with sleep difficulties, and explains why it is never a good idea to sleep on your stomach.
