Like many entrepreneurial businesses in America, Garrison® Dental Solutions started in a basement - the basement of Dr. Edgar and Dr. John Garrison’s dental practice. This was the rebirth of the original Composi-Tight® Sectional Matrix system in 1996. Many years and several hundred million matrix bands later, the same energy, enthusiasm is still driving our innovation.
Garrison’s new Composi-Tight® 3D Fusion™ sectional matrix system was designed based on feedback from users worldwide and over 20 years of proven sectional matrix leadership. This has translated into a new system that represents a significant improvement in usability and performance.
Components
The kit contains 3 rings. The short (blue) and tall (orange) rings are used for the majority of restorations. Whereas, the all-new wide preparation separator ring (green) allows for versatility and makes the system even more user-friendly. The wide prep ring helps clinicians meet the challenges of large posterior composite restorations so that the achievement of excellent contacts and contours is commonplace, even when a cusp is missing.
All the rings have a new “horseshoe” shape which is easier to open. In addition, the all-new design provides 20% more separation between teeth resulting in better proximal contacts in the final restoration. The gingival aspect of the separator rings also have a unique design which sits on top of the interproximal wedge without displacing it.
How does Composi-Tight® 3D Fusion™ accomplish this?
- Get a grip – All Composi-Tight® 3D Fusion™ separator rings incorporate Ultra-Grip™ retention extensions that anchor them securely to virtually any tooth. Fusion rings stay where they are placed.
- Stack it up – Tru-Stack™ technology allows placement of the tall ring (orange) over the short ring (blue) for easier MOD and multiple tooth restorations.
- Hug the curves – Soft-Face™ silicone tips with enhanced marginal ridge anatomy create a tight hug between the matrix band This virtually eliminates any flash.
- Keeps on going – Enhanced durability for extended ring life and greater tooth separation.
