On behalf of Dr. Ken Serota:

‪#‎nexus_perio‬. Wanted to share a case that compliments the wonderful case presentation posted to OASIS today… Kudos to John Okeefe for grabbing the bull by the horns and bringing his concept of knowledge networking to Canadian dentists… Online learning is a 24/7/365 process that allows for unprecedented interactivity and expansive exchange.

Mihnea Cafadaru added photos to Tissue volume enhancement. This is a case where we want to enhance the tissue volume in order to mask the brown colour and to gain an esthetic result with EMAX full veneers/crowns. We can see the lack of volume and the thin biotype. This is the first step of the case.

After a waiting period of 3 months, we will start to shape the tissue with provisionals and finaly with the EMAX crowns.

why not just quickly bond couple ortho brackets and tie the suture around that..seems quicker and less messy and less time consuming and we get better contron of the tension??

Thank you for your comment. We used a lateral pedicle flap with a connective tissue graft in managing this case. We will be presenting the Part 2 of the case shortly.
