Dr. Brenton Winnett is an alumnus of the University of Waterloo, the University of Western Ontario, and the University of Toronto. During 16 years in the Regular Force of the Canadian Armed Forces, Dr. Winnett served in multiple roles and locations including in Halifax and Shearwater Nova Scotia; aboard the USNS MERCY in East Timor, Papua New Guinea, and Micronesia; aboard the HMCS PRESERVER in the North Atlantic; Toronto, Ontario; and then spent his last five years of Canadian Army service in Ottawa as the Regional Prosthodontist for Ontario. Dr. Winnett now practices in Victoria, BC, and Hamilton, Bermuda.
Dr. Winnett is a Royal College of Dentists of Canada Certified Specialist in Prosthodontics, and is honoured to give back as an Examiner in Prosthodontics for the Royal College. Dr. Winnett has also been privileged to collaborate in clinical research and is a co-author of academic papers published in the refereed journals Clinical Oral Implant Research, and the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants. It has been Dr. Winnett’s great privilege to serve on the Executive of the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada these last six years, and he is now the current President of the Association.
