The Neuroscience of Mindfulness: What’s Actually Happening in Your Brain?

Mindfulness is both a concept and a practice that has become a significant part of the wellness conversation in recent years. But what exactly is mindfulness? How does it work? And how does it differ from other wellness practices such as meditation?

In this CDA Oasis discussion, Dr. Kristin Yont, a general dentist from Calgary and a Benson Henry Institute SMART-certified health care provider, explains the neuroscience of mindfulness and offers practical advice on how dentists can incorporate it into their busy day.
