Imposter Syndrome and Dentistry

Imposter syndrome—also known as imposter phenomenon—is a behavioural health phenomenon characterized by self-doubt of intellect, skills, or accomplishments among high-achieving individuals.

In this CDA Oasis discussion, Dr. Jessica Metcalfe, a general dentist and leadership and workplace culture consultant, shares her own experience of imposter syndrome and offers advice on how to overcome it.

Dr. Metcalfe is an award-winning international speaker and best-selling author of Speak Kindly, You’re Listening.

“A large portion of how we choose to view ourselves is how we choose to speak to ourselves.”
