September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day that recognizes the tragic legacy of residential schools, the missing children, the families left behind, and the survivors of these institutions.
This year on CDA Oasis, we are delighted to share Joyce’s Tooth Tales: A Journey of Courage and Wisdom, a short video series recently launched by the Indigenous Dental Association of Canada (IDAC), which follows the journey of a young Indigenous girl, named Joyce, from losing her first tooth to becoming a dental surgeon.
The series demonstrates the importance of oral health within Indigenous communities and highlights the contribution of Indigenous dental professionals in Canada.
