The science of nanotechnology refers to the manipulation of matter on a near-atomic scale to produce new structures, materials, and devices. Its origin can be traced back as far as 1959, and modern-day applications promise scientific advancement in many healthcare settings, including dentistry.

In this video discussion, Dr. Normand Bach, an orthodontist and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry of the Université de Montreal, outlines the common applications of nanotechnology in orthodontics today and considers what this exciting technology may hold for the future.
