Introducing the New Alberta Dental Association

In December 2020, the Government of Alberta passed a bill to amend the Health Professions Act requiring all regulatory health colleges to no longer provide association functions and activities by April 1, 2023. This amendment has given rise to a new independent Alberta Dental Association (ADA).

In this video Sandi Kossey, recently appointed CEO of the ADA, discusses her journey in healthcare leadership and highlights some of the priority issues for the profession in Alberta.

“This is a pivotal time in terms of ensuring dentistry and oral health are first and foremost in people’s minds. We want to listen to our members to guide our priorities, our processes and programs going forward.”
