On Friday, April 6, 2001, 5,000 students in 15 elementary schools participated in the first ever City of Toronto Brush-a-thon.  Over the next 20 years, Brush-a-mania has evolved to include 100,000 students in 300 schools across Canada.

Celebrate Oral Health Month by visiting a school in your community and instructing students in proper oral care.  The students may enter our Brush-a-mania contest to win an Xbox One or one of fifty tablets.

Each student will receive a Colgate toothbrush and toothpaste, a brush-a-mania sticker and pamphlet.  All of the supplies required to run the program will be shipped directly to each school after the March break.

There is no cost for City of Toronto schools. The Scarborough Rotary Passport Club has committed to support all Toronto schools. The fee for schools outside the City of Toronto is $1 per student. This fee includes all student supplies, shipping, as well as, posters for the schools.

The Ontario Dental Association provides grants of up to $1,500 to its component societies for Oral Health Month programs such as Brush-a-mania.  Ask your provincial dental association if they provide grants for Oral Health Month programs.

There are many resources you may use on our website including a template script and PowerPoint presentation.  Visit www.brushamania.ca for more information.

Registration deadline is March 6, 2020.
