Dr. Tom Shackleton earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University Dental School and a Master’s degree in Oral Medicine/Orofacial Pain from the University of Southern California. He lives and works in Calgary and is a practicing General Dentist with a focus on Oral Medicine/Orofacial Pain.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain. He has held teaching positions at both the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Dentistry and the University of New England College of Dental Medicine and has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals in both the USA and Canada.
