Video Interview: NCOHR Panel Discussion on Opioids for Management of Oro-facial Pain

Dr. Debora Matthews spoke with Dr. John O’Keefe about an NCOHR session happening during the Pacific Dental Conference in Vancouver, BC, in March 2015. The session is entitled “Opioids for the management of oro-facial pain: dispelling the myths.” The purpose of the session is to present the current best evidence on the use and misuse of opioids in everyday clinical dental practice. The session will take place on Friday, March 6th, 2015 between 8:30 and 11:00 am at the VCC West – Room 220. Watch the video interview

Summary Report: NCOHR Team Building Workshop: Modelling the Interaction of Multidimensional Risk Factors in Caries Disparity

In September 2014, Drs. Elham Emami (Associate Professor, Université de Montréal) and Linda Booij (Assistant Professor, Queen’s University and Sainte-Justine Hospital) along with postdoctoral fellow Dr. Svetlana Tikhonova (Université de Montréal) led and organized a 2-day workshop to facilitate the development of new multi- and inter-disciplinary collaborative research teams on caries and oral health disparity.
