CDA @ Work: CDA Submission to the Consultation on Tax Planning Using Private Corporations

On October 2nd, the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) submitted its brief to the Hon. Bill Morneau, Minister of Finance, as part of the consultation on Tax Planning Using Private Corporations. In the submission, the CDA emphasized that the tax policies that are addressed in the government’s consultation are not “loopholes”, but long-standing tax measures that recognize the risk small business owners take, and their contribution to Canada’s economic and social well-being. International College of Dentists Convocation

The International College of Dentists (Canadian Section) inducted 48 new Fellows at it’s Convocation on May 6, 2017.  Dr. John O’Keefe and Mr. Claude Paul Boivin were honored for contributions to the profession. The International College of Dentists, Canadian Section held it’s Annual Meeting and Convocation in Toronto May 5-6, 2017. The College recognized 48 new Fellows from across Canada including 12 from British Columbia, 2 from Alberta, 3 from Saskatchewan, 3 from Manitoba, 25 from Ontario and 3 from Atlantic Canada. Dr. John O’Keefe receives the Pierre Fauchard Academy’s 2015 Elmer S. Best Award

On November 7, the Pierre Fauchard Academy conferred the Elmer S. Best Award for 2015 on Dr. John O’Keefe, CDA Director of Knowledge Networks, at an awards ceremony in Washington, DC. The award is the Academy’s pinnacle honour for dentists who reside outside the United States of America. Dr. O’Keefe is the 9th Canadian to receive this award since its introduction in 1962.
