International College of Dentists Convocation

The International College of Dentists (Canadian Section) inducted 48 new Fellows at it’s Convocation on May 6, 2017.  Dr. John O’Keefe and Mr. Claude Paul Boivin were honored for contributions to the profession. The International College of Dentists, Canadian Section held it’s Annual Meeting and Convocation in Toronto May 5-6, 2017. The College recognized 48 new Fellows from across Canada including 12 from British Columbia, 2 from Alberta, 3 from Saskatchewan, 3 from Manitoba, 25 from Ontario and 3 from Atlantic Canada. International College of Dentists (Canadian Section) Convocation

At it’s Convocation held in Jasper, Alberta on May 28, 2016 the Canadian Section of the International College of Dentists inducted 34 new Fellows.  Canadian President Ken Skinner (Winnipeg) and College at Large (International) President Phillip Dowell (England) presided over the Convocation held at the Jasper Park Lodge.  The new Fellows come from British Columbia , Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Nova Scotia. Semiahmoo Dental Outreach to the Philippines

SEMIAHMOO DENTAL OUTREACH: November 21 to December 2, 2015 Siquijor, Philippines (Funding for this project was provided in part by the W.J. International College of Dentists presents Presidential Citation to Dr. Gordon W. Thompson

Dr. Gordon W. Thompson of Edmonton, Alberta receives ICD Presidential Citation. At the recent Convocation of the Canadian Section of the International College of Dentists, held in St. John’s, Newfoundland on August 28, 2015, President Randall Croutze presented Dr. Gordon Thompson with the prestigious Presidential Citation.  Dr. Thompson is a Fellow of the ICD and has served as Canadian Section President.  He was given this special recognition for his many significant contributions to Dentistry at all levels and extending over many years. International College of Dentists holds Convocation in St. John’s

The Canadian Section of the International College of Dentists held it’s Annual Meeting and Convocation in St. John’s, Newfoundland on August 28, 2015.  The College inducted 65 New Fellows including 6 from Nova Scotia, 1 from New Brunswick, 20 from Ontario, 19 from British Columbia, 2 from Saskatchewan, 3 from Newfoundland and Labrador, 1 from Quebec, 4 from Alberta, 7 from Manitoba and 1 from the Yukon. The Semiahmoo Dental Outreach mission to Peru recently provided care at two sites. Funding in part was provided by the International College of Dentists (Canadian Section) through the W.J. During the ODA’s Annual Spring Meeting, Fellows of the ICD Canadian Section, District 5 (Ontario) met for a Fellowship Luncheon at Aria Ristorante. International College of Dentists Life Fellow Doug Yeo recognized for his wartime service

Life Fellow David Yeo, Professor Emeritus and former Dean of Dentistry at UBC was recently recognized by the Government of Canada for his wartime service to Canada.  At the 19 Wing Comox Honours and Awards ceremony last Tuesday, Flight Lt (Ret’d) Doug Yeo received a certificate of recognition and a commemorative pin for service during the Second World War. The certificate is awarded on behalf of a grateful nation, and as a tribute to selfless acts of service and sacrifice during the Second World War, in defence of Canada and our shared values of freedom, democracy and the rule of law.
