Nutrition Tips for Busy Dentists

Getting proper nutrition during a workday in the dental office can be a challenging business. After a busy morning filled with patient appointments, who’s got time to think about what they are going to eat for lunch?

It’s hardly surprising then, that come lunchtime, we often reach for the most convenient option available to us−healthy or not.

“Many people eat by happenstance,” says Dr. Odiatu. “They leave for the office with no plan in mind. And when there’s no plan, we are seduced by the food truck or whatever is in the food court”.

Dr. Uche Odiatu is a General Dentist certified in fitness practices. In conversation with Dr. John O’Keefe, Director of Knowledge Networks CDA, Dr. Odiatu unpacks the challenge of making nutrition work for you in the busy environment of the dental office.

He offers valuable tips on planning your daily intake, stresses the importance of environment on eating habits, and gives his recommendations for the types of food that should be in every busy dentist’s lunch pack.
