CADR Roundtable – Research into Vulnerable Populations

In this latest update from the Canadian Association for Dental Research, Dr. John O’Keefe, Director of Knowledge Networks CDA, introduces three eminent Dental Research Professionals from across Canada and invites them to outline the focus of their ongoing research into vulnerable populations.

Dr. Mary McNally, Professor in the Faculties of Dentistry and Medicine, Dalhousie University, Dr. Mary Ellen Macdonald, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry, McGill University, and Dr. Maryam Amin, Professor in the Division of Pediatric Dentistry, University of Alberta, outline the complexities of working with vulnerable populations, offer practical advice to dentists on managing cultural and social issues, and highlight lessons they have learned in the course of their research.
