Presenting the National Student Research Group at CADR

The Canadian Association for Dental Research (CADR) is a division of the International Association of Dental Research (IADR), with more than 250 members from the ten dental schools across Canada. Its primary mission is to advance research and to increase knowledge for the improvement of oral healthcare, both in Canada and worldwide.

The National Student Research Group (NSRG) is a recent initiative which supports student members across the CADR and facilitates their development as the next generation of oral health researchers in Canada.

“We have a great group of energetic, young and vibrant people who are probably going to be the face of Canadian research for the future,” says Dr. Sheikh. “It’s a great amalgamation of how the CADR is fostering the next level of leadership by promoting and forming this organization”.

Chiraz Guessaier, Manager CDA Oasis, talks to Dr. Zeeshan Sheikh, recently re-elected President of the CADR-NSRG, about his role with the NSRG, the work the organization is doing to support oral research in Canada, and how they are adapting in the face of COVID.
