Nova Scotia Protocols for Dental Emergencies During COVID-19

In a rapidly changing post-COVID-19 world, infection control in the dental office is a top priority. How do we protect ourselves and our patients, and minimize the spread of the virus among our community?

The Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia, in collaboration with the Nova Scotia Dental Association and the Faculty of Dentistry at Dalhousie University, has recently created a set of protocols and procedures for the treatment of emergency patients during the Covid-19 crisis.

John O’Keefe, Director of Knowledge Networks CDA, speaks to two of the principle contributors, Dr. Kristi Stefanison and Dr. Alex Burk.
