ASM19: Does it Make Financial Sense to Introduce Digital Technologies into GP Practice?

The Ontario Dental Association’s (ODA) Annual Spring Meeting (ASM) is fast approaching. In this discussion we catch up with ODA ASM speaker Dr. Bobby Birdi. Dr. Birdi is a board-certified periodontist and prosthodontist in both the United States and Canada. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Oral Implantology and the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants (JOMI). Dr. Birdi is Co-Founder of the Digital Dentistry Institute and maintains a full-time private practice at the BC Perio Dental Health & Implant Centres in Vancouver.

His second presentation will provide an update on the latest technologies available to the restorative and surgical doctor, with a focus on implant dentistry. The presentation will outline patient selection, treatment planning and decision-making in the execution of implant dentistry for consistent functional and esthetic results using the latest technologies. The use of technology, digital workflow, guided surgery and 3D planning will be highlighted. An emphasis on the benefits of implementing digital technology in everyday practice will be showcased. The session is scheduled for May 10th, 2:00 – 4:30 pm.
