Dr. Kathy Kell, Treasurer at FDI World Dental Federation, spoke with Dr. John O’Keefe about the role FDI plays and what it does for dentists and the public throughout the wold.

Dr. Kathryn Kell is a General Dentist in private practice in Davenport, Iowa and has been in practice since 1979. She received her dental degree from the University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry in 1979 and a Masters in Health Care Administration from St. Ambrose University in 1999. Dr. Kell is currently the Treasurer of FDI and a member of the FDI Executive Committee as well as the Chair of the Finance Committee, Chair of the Congress Task Team, and a member of the Remuneration Committee. In 2008 she was elected to the FDI Council from the North American Region. Previously she was the past Chair of the FDI’s Education Committee elected in Barcelona in 1998 and elected as Chair of the Congress and Education Committee in 2001 planning congresses in Dubai, Stockholm, Vienna, Delhi, Sydney, Mexico City, Montreal, Paris, Kuala Lumpur, Shenzhen and working in other areas involved with international education. As Chair of the Congress and Education Committee she also served as a representative of the CEC on the FDI Science Committee from 2000-2007.
