Communication within the Dental Team: How Would you Handle this Situation?

One of CDA Oasis priority topics for 2015 is communication and its role in the success of the dental practice. We are pleased to present a series of made-up scenarios related to various aspects of communication in the dental office.

As a practice management consultant previously , mediation is common. In this situation, I would sit down both parties , explain the situation and the result in detail of the impact on your dental practice. I would allow each party to speak , evaluate the issue and allow both parties to come to the solution in a civilized manner. Allowing both parties to see the impact that they are having on both team and patients is very powerful. I would also warn that if this behaviour continues , one or both may wish to give their notice.
